First teachers from both schools paid a visit to our local hospital
A new ramp has been built there and we took pictures of them. Afterwards , we spoke to a couple of doctors who informed us that this new ramp is beneficial to people with disabilities. Finally, they made a referation to us to speak to a non profitable organisation called "PERPATO" for more information.
A visit to "PERPATO"
“Perpato” was founded by a group of families and friends of People with Disabilities in September 2002. In Greek "Perpato" means walking . You can find more details in their leafet below
Teachers arranged a visit to the local non - profitable organization named “PERPATO” in order to interview them about the difficulties people with disabilities face in everyday life.
The interview was recorded and displayed in the classroom to the students in order to raise their awareness and sensitize them about the difficulties people with disabilities have to face.
An invitation has been sent to "PERPATO" by Minority School of Dokos to visit our school for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities , December the 3nd, 2018.
